How are digital tools changing the way arts educators interact with their communities? How can the arts enable inclusion and narrow the digital gap? What does co-creation look like in the digital age?
Three years after the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, artists, educators and policymakers from the RESEO community and beyond are invited to explore these questions in the online participatory forum WHAT’S NEXT?, which will conclude the two-year international research project Mind the Gap.
Programme
14:00 – 14:45 CET: Looking back – Exploring the impact of massive digitalisation
In 2020, the pandemic accelerated the digital transformation of cultural institutions. Mind the Gap explored the impact on education departments and how the pandemic transformed the way they work with their communities. Project partners RESEO, Materahub and The Western Norway University of Applied Sciences will present insights and understandings gathered from two years of research and the tools developed as a result.
14:45 – 15:45: Where are we going? Participatory session
In this one-hour collaborative session, participants will reflect on the current state of affairs and what the arts education sector needs in order to develop high-quality digital and hybrid experiences that are inclusive, financially viable, environmentally sustainable and complementary to in-person experiences.
