Calling EU and UK-based arts educators: contribute to Mind the Gap

Are you an arts educator or project manager working in the EU or the UK? Would you like to be part of an international research project exploring participatory arts education online and how to address barriers to access?

By taking part in our research, you will be contributing to the creation of:

  • A database of case studies that will analyse online education projects from across Europe and identify those that engaged with online participants in an innovative, accessible and cost-effective manner.

  • A knowledge hub that will provide interactive, user-friendly resources for working digitally with communities, while addressing potential barriers to access.

  • A research report that will present 10 key issues when it comes to working digitally with disadvantaged communities.

What will be involved?

By filling in a brief survey, you’ll provide us with information about your experience of implementing digital activities over the past two years, the methodologies you used, the communities you worked with, the challenges you encountered and how you overcame them. Your contribution will provide direction for our research and help us ensure the project outcomes listed above are tailored to educators’ and their communities’ needs. All answers will be anonymised.

The survey will enable us to develop a series of case studies exploring innovative practice in participatory arts education. If you have implemented a project you think may be of interest to our research, please pay particular attention to the second part of the survey. We may contact you within two weeks of your completing the survey to request further information about your project.

The survey can be answered in English, French or Italian. A French translation of the questions is available here and an Italian version here.
